• Quality Walnut Producers (QWP) is a proprietary company founded by nine walnut growers across Victoria and Southern NSW who came together to develop an efficient method of processing and marketing quality walnuts.
• QWP founding growers have provided substantial capital and this has been supplemented by additional Food Processing grants from Dept of Primary Industries and Fisheries and the NSW Government.
• The Company is built on a sound professional base with modern corporate governance principles in place. The founding growers are the Directors who bring a wide range of expertise including horticulture, business management and retailing to the success of Walnut Processing.
• QWP is confident about the future of Walnuts in Australia and is already taking advantage of walnut industry growth. Within a few years, the volume of walnuts to be harvested from the number of trees planted will far outweigh any current processing facility.
